Today, ha.ba’s is now owned by Katherine Pompa, a native Galvestonian and previous ha.ba’s manager. She is now upholding the legacy of previous owners, sisters Erica and Monica Barry, who originally opened the shop in 2004.

Growing up in Galveston Katherine had always enjoyed shopping in ha.ba’s with her friends ever since she could fit into the clothes. She was      hired by Monica in 2013 just after her 21st birthday and stayed with the company until 2019 when she and her husband Kris found out they were expecting twins. Throughout her years she always joked with Monica about one day becoming her but never in her wildest dreams imaged that one day she really would.
